Eh
Atrium cut everyone’s pay, healthcare and hours but still expects you to do everything. It fonts t make sense. You have to beg the owner for your original pay back but still won’t make enough hours to pay the bills

The company "advertises" work/life balance but behind closed doors things are very different. Very unstable environment. Frequent layoffs. No transparency with upper management.

Incompetent leadership making preferential treatment a norm creating disparate conditions. Excessive hours, no comp time or flexibility with schedule. Poor workforce planning.

It was a job. The discounted hotel prices were excellent. Free lunches were great. The work wasn't difficult, but the people that were hired was slim pickings. HR seemed to be chaotic a lot of the times.

After 10 years, COVID ended a 35 year career for me. As an outlier in the portfolio, with a large group focus, and therefore the highest revenue producing location, I felt that the skills needed to efficiently and effectively run this location were undervalued, especially once our segment disappeared. Staffing was always skeleton, as we were expected to operate under the same model as a non-group focused hotel. Due to the exemplary product and team cohesiveness, this was not an issue for most employees, myself included. Other hotels of similar size could not believe how we did so much with so little.

Interview Questions

How long have you bartended?

Shared on August 15, 2019

Atrium did not interview me, i did apply for a supervisor position, few months back, but the gm didnt even bother to interview me. my chief read question out loud while "interviewing" me for the position. which ultimately, was not filled.

Shared on July 31, 2019

Would I ever call in . No seriously. What type of question is that ? Am I dependable. Etc all bull because at the end of the day , they didn't even honor what they we're saying and basically I was fired because they didn't want to promote some girl (who was one of the nicest people I ever met ) to housekeeping inspector. She basically was a people person and she had had it with the management. Which now I totally get why. She is in my prayers . These people were as stuffy as they come ...all except one if the front desk managers and a banquet manager.
