Classroom teacher (Former Employee) – Austin, TX – September 20, 2018
I would not recommend teaching at this school. Although the vision and dream is incredible, the hiking is amazing, the reality of the work environment is very sad. Administration picks and chooses who they will support and who they treat poorly. You do not have lunch break. You can not get your students the support they need and legally deserve. They do not identify students with special needs for years at a time. Some of the staff are wonderful kind people but most are new or alternatively certified teachers, so the quality of instruction is lacking. There are better, more loving places to work.
Loving teachers, hiking, eco-welness program, health based
No lunch break, poor admin, no staff development and teacher training is lacking
