Thank you for your question! Raises at AutoNation depend on a mix of your performance and how much you make compared with others doing the same job. We ask our employees to speak to their direct leader or HR Representative in regard to raises.

Never, myself as well as numerous others worked for years for this company only to receive either very slight or completely nonexistent raises, be prepared to be expected to do the job of multiple people with absolutely no support either monetarily or managerially.
In over 12 Years I received 2 paycuts and the final pay cut was “ your position has been eliminated” however they stuck someone in there with a year or so training and making probably a quarter of what they were paying me. Autonation discriminates against us seniors and wants only the cheapest labor they can get
Never.... you get pay cuts annually
AutoNation doesn't give you a pay raise. If you ask the Service Directors or GMs for a raise they tell you that the company as a whole can't offer a raise do to some corporate mandate, and the conversation ends with them telling you to sell more business. I worked for the company for almost 12 years. I never knew anybody to get a raise as a Service Advisor.
Didn't get one in the year and a half I was there, after the store was aquired. Thank goodness I got one right before that happened.
If you are hourly, don't expect a raise at all. I worked with a receptionist who didn't get a raise in over 10 years of employment. She would ask every year and every year the general manager would deny it. They advertise unlimited income potential for any job that involves commission or selling and technically that is true but in practice impossible.
Raises don't occur or occur rarely for hourly employees. I started working for the company in 2005 and was hired at $15/hr and when I quit in December of 2017 I was making $17.50/hr. It's absolutely ridiculous. I know for a fact that the cost of living has went up more than $2.50 in a 13 year period.
Annually raises do apply on a merit basis.
