Be ready to be told one thing and then they do something else. No job security. Things are always taken personal by owner even if that was not the intent. Always get a contract that is signed.

Very Quick paced, and extremely stressful.

Kennel Assistant (Former Employee) - Lancaster, CA - April 15, 2019

It is the only emergency Vet clinic for about 40 miles, so it is very busy even at night. Because it is an emergency hospital it can be very stressful especially during times the day vets are closed, holidays and the weekends.

Pros

Discounts on animal necessities.

Cons

Fast paced and stressful work environment.

The environment is hostile. The pay is no better than any other hospital but the work is three times the load. little recognition is given employees. It is high school at best with the amount of gossip and drama that is cultivated.

Cons

hostile environment, unpredictable scheduling/hours, offers not being upheld (i.e. promised number of hours not met)
