I had the opportunity to work in several projects since I was hired. to learn about several process about this industry and also the systems that support them is great.

Review emails, attend meetings, work on projects, follow up on budget, analyze costs,
work on on board menus, products, galley equipment.
Create new galley diagrams
Review inventory
Approve purchase orders

It was always a busy day, worked for 6 days a week.

Watching and being part of the company's growth has been a fulfilling experience. I have learned a lot from my years in the company.
Fun, fast paced. Compensation is ok, but cheap traveling is the most interesting thing about working for a big airline like Avianca

Excellent company to develop skills. I learned all different aspects of major aircraft maintenance, technical, budgetary, planning, and other fields. The industry demands to travel for long periods, that is hard when you have family, but the best thing is gat back home knowing that you did your best and all expectations were fulfilled.

Avianca is the largest airline in Colombia and second one in Latin America, work environment is well organized and team workers provide unlimited support to each other. However because it was my professional practice I did not have any salary or social security.

Work under pressure and need to spend entire nights
The company needs to improve its human recourses department. Working schedule is not so good, from 7.15 am to 5.30 with Monday to Friday. There is not a good corporate policy to balance employees personal life with actual working conditions. The company is improving in this field but still need too much to do. It is a good school to learn from the industry.
