Was good during the pandemic. Least I kept my job. But they only cared about the oil and nothing more really.

What is the best part of working at the company?Being alone and not many sites that were to far away. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? They over micro managed. And watched you like a hawk. Treated you like children. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Never knew what mood management would be in. Had to tip toe around them. What is a typical day like for you at the company?Same old thing everyday. Pick up oil and deliver to offload site.

BS politics

Turn over high. They look for reasons to fire you. No job security. The higher ups are greedy and drivers suffer. Management is a joke. Biweekly pay SUCKS

Ok as a starter in the oil field

I can only speak for the west Texas division, I’ve heard some good things about Utah and Colorado. But west Texas management is horrible. Just have to shut up and do your work. Don’t point out things that are wrong with the equipment , because then you’re a cry baby. But you have to point out things that are wrong with the equipment, or your not doing your job. Slip seat is a must, 12 hour shift. Prepare for 2, maybe 3 loads if you’re lucky, per day. Slow load and unload times due to customers equipment and product having high RVP. Overall, it’s an ok place to get some oil field experience. Stay 1-2 years, and you’ll be able to go somewhere else, no problem.

Great benefits, payroll and HR were awesome, rest of company was not up to those standards..

What is the best part of working at the company?Equipment was usually good. Especially the tractors. Mixed fleet of trailers. What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Lack of communication. Night shift managers didn’t exist. If you needed something as a night shift driver you had to wake up a day shift manager. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Toxic. They hired and fired drivers unnecessarily. More coaching and training would have been less expensive than offering huge sign on bonuses to bring in unsuspecting drivers. You need to consider this so you don’t blemish your trucking career if you’re fired. What is a typical day like for you at the company?Sleep during the day and work later in the afternoon into the evening and early morning. If pretrip was good it was a pretty good shift. Problem was I shared Truck with day driver so it was stressful to get back for a timely shift change.

It an honest company

Not honest. They advertise 4-500 a day pay, you’d be lucky to make 3-400 a day. Management is dishonest and will lie to your face. Poor management makes for bad employees. Stay away.

Management / Pay

Poor Management in this company. Worst I have ever worked for. Lowest paid drivers in the oil hauling industry. You will have to fight management to get the money your owed.

Pros

They will train anyone.

Cons

You will wait months for the money that is owed to you

Productive and great pay

Badlands is a great company with great pay. Never had a issue. I just couldn’t get along with the fellow oilfield workers out in the field. They have alligator mouths with hummingbird as*es

Very good company in 2019

Lots of loads, decent pay, housing was nice. They have day shift and night shift. You usually work 6 days on and 1 day off. They have nice equipment and a shop on their yard

I enjoy working here being with them 3.5 years

I currently work for Badlands Texas and I have been very impressed with the company's commitment to safety. From the thorough training provided to the good equipment, it is clear that safety is a top priority. Additionally, the company treated me like family and has provided support to me even in difficult times, which has created a positive and supportive work environment. Just like any oilfield jobs theres ups and downs but money has been stable yearly. I highly recommend Badlands Tanklines Texas to anyone seeking a inclusive and supportive workplace.

Pros

Benefits, nice trucks, grat pay

Cons

Living in trucks

Great management, good money…sometimes

At Badlands, I felt welcomed and my concerns were always addressed in short order. I was offered project opportunities which paid better. The crude side needs some work on their pay structure. Good equipment.

I really like the condition of the equipment, well maintained by the mechanics at the company shop, overall, I'm doing great, been here for 7.5 years

One important thing that really stands out about the company is the maintenance of their equipment, you will never be leaving the yard with faulty equipment, friendly environment!!

Pros

The pros that I have experienced like I said in the past is equipment maintenance, also flexible schedule, friendly work environment, you don't have personal always bothering you, overall great employment.

Cons

The cons would depend on the person it's self, we have to live in the truck for 5 days, I'm used to it, done it before, we get paid every 2 weeks
