Overall pretty good, very intense
Associate Consultant (Current Employee) - San Francisco, CA - September 11, 2023
The work can be stressful at times and culture has been declining recently. Budget cuts have reduced fun budgets so there is less opportunity to take breaks between tasks which can lead to burnout.

Fun place to work, long hours
Consultant (Current Employee) - San Francisco, CA - August 23, 2023
Bain is overall a great place to work, with fun people and a supportive environment. However, the hours can be very long and intense so you really have to set clear boundaries

Hard work but close knit
HR Director (Former Employee) - Brussels - July 27, 2023
You work hard but create lifelong bonds. Great learning. Up or out culture means you are expendable but I guess that comes with the environment. Loved it and hated it.

Jobs at Bain & Company
Great job and place to work!
Case Assistant (Former Employee) - San Francisco, CA - April 17, 2023
I absolutely loved working at Bain. It’s a work hard, play hard culture and you learn so much and have so much fun along the way. Working with some of the smartest people I have ever met truly helped push me to work harder and strive for more. I couldn’t recommend Bain more as a company

Career Accelerator
Sr. Associate Consultant (Current Employee) - Chicago, IL - April 3, 2023
Working at Bain & Company has been an incredible experience for me. From day one, I have felt supported and valued by my colleagues and superiors. The culture at Bain is one of collaboration, where everyone is encouraged to share their ideas and perspectives, and to work together to solve complex business problems. One of the things I appreciate most about working at Bain is the emphasis on personal and professional development. Bain invests heavily in its employees, providing world-class training and development opportunities that help us grow both personally and professionally. This focus on development is a key reason why many people choose to stay at Bain for their entire careers.

Great place to work, with supportive team members
Summer Associate (Former Employee) - Austin, TX - March 29, 2023
Really enjoyed my summer experience here. It was a great place to intern, as a full-time MBA student. There is a reason that Bain is consistently ranked at the top consulting firm to work at by Vault!

Awesome place to work. Great talent, great clients, great training. They also do a great job creating alternative career paths for folks who may not want the client-side demands long term.

Fun workplace; supportive people
Associate Consultant (Current Employee) - Indianapolis, IN - February 2, 2023
The co workers here are very supportive; A Bainie never lets a fellow bainie down... this is highly followed. Lots of travel; fun colocations... The work is hectic, however that is expected in consulting

Grueling, a bit homogenous, but gained so many friends and great career opportunities after
Senior Associate Consultant (Former Employee) - San Francisco, CA - January 27, 2023
I worked for Bain about seven years ago, and I’m writing this review to gain access to indeed. So, take my comments with a grain of salt. I truly enjoyed my work about 50% of the time, the other 50% of the time felt it was a bit dull and/or I did not connect while with my teammates. They provided incredible training that has served me very well in my career, and I know that many of the opportunities I’ve had are likely due to having this company on my résumé. I also made a surprising number of lifelong friends, considering that I felt like I didn’t fit in perfectly with the culture. I think there are a lot of interesting stories they tell, like one year at Bain being equivalent to three years externally, and I’m not sure how true these really are versus a tactic to keep people at the company. From what I’ve observed, all who leave do extremely well at their new employers, and are often promoted or hired to impressive positions earlier than you would expect. For example, I was in senior management at a start up with other folks from Bain, and we were all at the same level, despite having left the consulting firm at pretty different levels. So, if you end up working here, don’t take all the propaganda at face value!

Love this company!
Consultant (Current Employee) - Chicago, IL - December 8, 2022
Focused on company culture. They value employees. Support professional and personal growth. Benefits COMPLETELY covered - zero cost to me. Always snacks. SWAG..such as Allbirds. Always encourage and protect PTO. Our team genuinely likes hanging out with each other. We all truly want to see each other succeed. A Bainie never lets another bainie fail. Literally cannot think of any cons. This is the best company I have EVER worked for.

Great benefits. Amazing people, stellar work/life balance. Training could be a little more consistent, but overall I feel like I lucked out getting a job here. Really perfect for the working mom.

Great place to learn
Consultant (Current Employee) - Dallas, TX - October 31, 2022
Bain is a fantastic place to start a career, you will learn plenty of hard skills and get to interact with senior management at the clients. Would recommend to anyone who is okay with a job with more hours than average.
