I don't tell people I work at Baker unless asked. It's difficult to be proud of a company that suppresses ideas and voiced opinions.

Its a constant frustration to work at a branch level. The company is way too top heavy at one point I had 4 managers to me... one employee. They promote from within but most of the branches have a high turn over rate. I've seen our closest branches go through 4-5 managers and 4-5 employees in each branch. I've been employed with the company for 8 years now and I've been offered 1 promotion that was more work at the same salary but double the commute. No thanks. Baker used to be a company that you could be proud to work for. Now they're the joke of the industry
