Productive and fun place to work with interesting clients
Program Director (Former Employee) – San Francisco, CA – July 12, 2018
baker places was a good place to work for learned a lot. Company believed in hiring from within and giving people opportunity in management. The client were very courteous and wanted to come to baker Places because they felt they could get the help that they needed. Baker hired people that needed to learn that had education but didn't have experience they were able to get it there.. The hardest part of the job was not being able to find housing for all the clients. The most enjoyable part of the job is watching the clients grow and remain clean and sober and get there lives in order and come back to show us that they are still doing good and we had a part in making that happen.

I enjoy working with Baker Place when I started back in 2005. Over the years, things has changed and some of the Manager can use some professional training. If you're looking for a part time job I am sure you'll be hired if you meet the basic qualification.
Relief Residential Counselor (Current Employee) – San Francisco, CA – May 22, 2015
Worked with clients that were working on a variety of mental health challenges. Provided interventions with clients when necessary. Co-Workers were extremely pleasant and reliable. Management was severely lacking; negative attitudes, lack of presence, histrionics, and hyperbole were the norm.
We could make a free meal if we desired with the kitchen.
The mission of the company is good, but run as a top down organization
Program Director (Former Employee) – San Francisco, CA – March 10, 2013
I worked there as a residential program manager. It was very demanding as managers were on call 24 hours a day and the staff was informed to call the managers at any time during the night or day if there was any conflict.
