I loved working there. The guys i worked with where awesome. my supervisors where great and
understanding. I became sick and they supported me like family. I still have guys check in on me,and this has been over a Year, Not sure what some of these other guys are talking about.
AWESOME place and always challenging
If you were in charge, what would you do to make Balfour Beatty a better place to work?
Pay the roads and grounds aleast 12 to 13 dollars they do alot of work and beyond aleast where I work on post . Would be appreciated if veterans would get Veterans Day off, it shouldn't be a floating day.
Terrible, low pay, they want you to stay late and send you home early the next day so you can get no overtime. Cheap, cheap, cheap. The pay is low, the customers are mad that you deal with. Just find a different job. The bar is set pretty low at the BBC. It's not hard to find something better.
My "interview" process at Balfour Beatty was extremely unprofessional. I applied for a Media Relations Manager position online. A couple weeks later I received a email from one of their recruiters asking about my availability to interview. I immediately responded back with a series of days / times. However, I never heard anything back. Even after following up a couple of times over the next week it was complete radio silence. No interview, no explanation, no rejection letter...no response of any kind. It was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Why bother reaching out in the first place if you're not going to follow through? Even an automated rejection letter to close the loop would have been sufficient. Based on that experience I really can't see myself ever applying with them again.
The “raise” is typically a Cost of Living increase for hourly employees. Any manager who tries to tell you it’s merit-based is lying.
