I applied to the job posting on 7/21 by 7/25 I received an invite to the clerical testing which I took on 8/4. I passed the typing part but failed the business letter part. You are only allowed 5 errors. I went back to test as a stand by on 8/7 within that time from 8/4 until 8/16 I received a call to be interviewed by the school. On 8/16 I finally was able to to re-test and passed on 8/17 I had my interview. Afterwards i was sent for finger printing and physical. Now what you should be mindful of is that the posted start date my not be your start date because fingering printing, physical, and new hire class must bd done before you start. I started on 8/29 so overall it took over a month from start to finish. It is very worth it and I look forward to a long career.

The environment and culture at BCPS, from my experience in the school that I work is 100% positive. The parents and teachers involvement plays an important role. We have a supportive staff and fellowship among workers which makes my 9 to 4 journey pleasant.

If one is hired in the summer time it is most likely a temporary position. One has to official apply every year, but a school will keep people who do a good job if they are willing to come back.
