Bank Independent is a local bank that prides itself on being family, community, and customer driven. A career with this company will thrive if you meet the following requirements:-Who you know.-Who you are related to.-Whose ego you are willing to stroke. Independence will be key to success in day to day functions because training will be base level. Since the job is based around problem solving via phone communication—it will be quantity over quality. Educated guesses, improvising, or relying on assistance from equally untrained co-workers will be the only guidance. Be prepared to take full responsibility for mistakes that could have been easily avoided with the proper training. The personnel in leadership positions will not be sharing the ramifications of errors or work load. Again, quantity will always be prioritized over the quality of calls.The turnover rate massively increased when advancement opportunities became cemented in nepotism, favoritism, and fitting a certain image—in lieu of usual qualifications: years of experience, customer satisfaction, or efficiency in a current role. The absence of awareness by leadership and management roles becomes off-putting to newly hired employees.Navigating a job in bank-related Customer Service demands extensive training, excellent listening skills, and most importantly empathy. These will be rarely found within Bank Independent’s driving force for the well-being of the customers or the employees.

The people in the home office are very set in their ways. They let some people get away with anything and others they ride real hard. Pay is below average a large portion of your compensation is tied to bonuses that are impossible to make.
