It is a lot different now as I was on the hiring committee and it's a panel interview. When I interviewed I was just interviewed by the emergency room director and the lead charge nurse in their office.

It was 12 years ago & much different. Now it is a group interview with the Department Director, Senior Clinical manager, shift clinical managers & just about any staff that wants to attend. I say it sounds very intimidating to me.

There are two interviews, first interview is with current techs on the floor unit you are requesting to work on. After that there will be an interview with the clinical manager of the unit.

Time consuming and sometimes the overall process is so lengthy new applicants are accepted by competitive opportunities.

Lengthy. Lots of behavior based questions.
Intimidating and rigorous. 30 to 45 minutes of solid behavioral questions with no indication of a pleasant or interested personality from panel when interviewing. Truly awful experience.
Over the phone
Over the phone, its simple, but in person the questions are very direct.
