Depends on your job title. booksellers are always part time and they get capped at 27 hours per week.
leads and Managers are the only full time employees and they get anywhere between 36-40 hours per week. if you are a bookseller then you can have 4,6, or 8 hours shifts.

Answered

There is no guaranteed hours if you are part time, you are the fillers pretty much. only Leads and Managers get guaranteed hours. but as a part timer I would expect 3 shift a week 4 if management finds you useful

Answered

You have mid shift which usually are from 12-8
closing shifts are from 4-10 or 4-11 depending when your store closes

Answered

Be prepared to know about books. The interview will ask you how you would sell a book and what your'e favorite book is. When they ask you a question that you wouldn't be sure about, the answer is, "I would get or ask a manager."

Answered

I'm full time so hours are always the same (no overtime), for part time Booksellers it depends on the store sales, but increase during winter holiday season.
