Working at the Barron Center has been a really good experience. I work on the ambulatory dementia unit 3-11pm, so my job mostly consists of helping residents with ADLs, taking care of dinner, and getting residents into bed. On my unit CNAs have a lot of independence, but collaborate when we need extra support with a client. The pay is good and the - more ... benefits are AMAZING, with EXCELLENT health insurance and a good 401K program. I also received 50% off of my tuition at USM.
