They are extremely short staffed in the smaller clinics. Whether you are clinical or admin, you will get pulled in several different directions and will not be able to finish one task before starting 5 more. In the smaller clinics, Bassett does not have enough employees for the amount of work expected. Also, Bassettdon’t like to pay you for overtime as administrative. If we worked overtime (mandatory since we weren’t given a choice) they would make us leave early on another day just so they didn’t have to pay us the time and a half for the hours of overtime we put in. If we asked to use personal time it was a guessing game as to whether it would be approved due to not being convienent for Bassett.
