Like some have said Battelle is a sinking ship. They're behind the times when it comes to research and are struggling to secure contracts. The laboratories had much to be desired. A lot of equipment is not up to date. Their research at least in the biomedical research center is irreverentaside from a few vaccines.

Battelle is a sinking ship. They have not turned a profit in a few years and struggle as their overhead is thru the roof. A huge layoff is coming around 15% or 500 people will be Wales our the doors company wide. Get out while you can and while the overall market is GREAT.

The Battelle Institute has a long history, in recent years they are trying to run the company like they are IBM and focusing on under cutting their bids in favor of winning awards where they don't have any experience, and leaving legacy employees to feel undervalued. In engineering where women felt like peers prior to Battelle taking over they now feel inferior, and are often denied advancement or Continuing Education in favor of investing that money elsewhere. Management often looks at women engineers as inferior to their male counterparts. They don't take our knowledge seriously, and will favor males in terms of premium office space over women that have a tried and true record. This is a culture of 'the ole boys club' if I ever did see one
