A company with a bright future, but a dark past
Financial Analyst (Current Employee) –  Bridgewater, NJMay 22, 2018
Valeant is a large pharma company that is working its way out of a shady past that has left a bit of a mess for current employees. The company looks to be on its way to a successful future, but its poor management and lack of company culture make it nearly impossible for employees to look forward to going to work everyday.
Pros
Compensation, Ceo, Company has a bright future
Cons
Work Life Balance, Culture, Management

too focused on cost, not product development
Digital Project Manager (Former Employee) –  Bridgewater, NJMay 4, 2018
Nice place to work. Co-workers seemed all to be on the same page and had nice team work on projects. But, the company seemed to be too focused on cost and not product development/growth. Read other postings, it seems they have been called a fake pharma in the past that is more of a hedge fund.

The management here expects you to be robots. No job security. Changes every month. They show favoritism to employees that have been there longer making it very difficult for a new person starting. Not welcoming at all. Sets very high expectations without providing the resources to get the job done. Never again.

Nepotism was the law of the land. If you were not related to someone, you had very little chance of security. You need to make sure you know the politics of the department you are going to work for before going out on a limb and letting people get to know you.

Cons

Credit and Collections Manager (Former Employee) –  Bridgewater, NJMarch 21, 2018
I worked in the Credit and AR group and it was the worst experience in my life. There was a lot of finger pointing, and back stabing. Morale was like working at a funeral home. An episode of the Walking dead has more hope then that working in this group. Senior Mgmt does not want to invest in systems so the AR close takes 3 full business days because of two archaic systems never reconciling. Reporting is all done out of Excel. Only if you are desperate to meet your rent are car payment should you accept a job in this group. Otherwise does not compare to other company's of their size.
Pros
Gym, Cafateria
Cons
Systems, leadership, Morale

Sales & Marketing Administrative Assistant (Current Employee) –  Bridgewater, NJFebruary 24, 2018
New CEO has made some good changes overall, but workloads are tough and there's little mentoring or support. Lots of people given more work due to firings (some sudden and without notice).

Poorly Managed AP Dept
Analyst (Current Employee) –  Bridgewater, NJDecember 16, 2017
Decent benefits, paid time off and salary but if I had to do it over again I never would have accepted the offer. Supervisors and manager in my dept are clearly biased towards certain employees and they will hire people they know personally or worked with in the past rather than hire from within the department. Very very little opportunity for any career advancement or additional responsibility.
Pros
Paid time off, decent benefits, gym, wireless discount
Cons
No career advancement opportunity, nepotism

Working at Valeant is fast paced. There is never a day without something to work on. Other employees and management are extremley helpful and everyone wants you to succeed.

Extremely unprofessional and unqualified lower/middle management. Archaic business plans with rampant nepotism and no way out. I'm thankful I escaped

Valeant Review
QA Manager for IT/Electronic Quality Systems (Former Employee) –  Bridgewater, NJSeptember 16, 2017
Valeant was a fast-paced company but always wanted to be done correctly. New building and the Sr. Management wanted everyone to be comfortable.
If required they would give you time off, and they had no issue if the timeline were a critical part of a process they would bring food to your floor, very help and kind.
Pros
Great place to work, and grow

The worst part of the job was the amount of management changes we had - I had 5 different managers in 2.5 years.

People and culture make this job tolerable. It is a great working environment.

Converged infrastructure engineer (Former Employee) –  Bridgewater Twp, NJAugust 2, 2017
I unfortunately was not with Valeant Pharmaceutical that long. I was laid off after the Bausch and Lomb merger and really did not spend enough time to create an informed opinion of the company or culture.

New division with poor management and leadership.
Senior Medical Science Liaison (Former Employee) –  Bridgewater, NJJuly 25, 2017
Valeant had bought a company and wasn't prepared for the acquisition. The other departments didn't know we existed and there wasn't a marketing plan for the product.

This company is on the verge of collapse in my opinion. From the Top down their is miscommunication and finger pointing from all directions. If you have a choice... Pick the other one.

Credit Analyst - Credit & Collections (Consultant) (Current Employee) –  Bridgewater, NJApril 4, 2017
The best part of the job is dealing with the customers & customer service. The bad things about this job is that they are not customer focused. Customers complain all the time about poor communication, etc. Management is all over the place. You will be told something and in an instant it will change without notification. Their processes are not streamlined and there is no guidance. You are expected to work over 2000 accounts. There is no training on all the different products lines, cross training with other departments.

Company is struggling with insurance reimbursment due to product pricing
Sales (Former Employee) –  Bridgewater, NJMarch 10, 2017
Job pay was under industry average in our division. There was definitely a lack of communication within our division. However the expectation was to work in excess of the 40 hour work week. The hardest part of the job was that the insurance companies were not reimbursing and the pharmacies would not stock due to high product pricing.
