The most useful review selected by IndeedThis is a fun and rewarding place to work for. Most of the coworkers and people here truly care about the work done here. It’s the only 24/7 facility in the Bay Area.

Volunteer (Former Employee) - Concord, CA - September 14, 2018
I worked as a volunteer at BACN. It’s an amazing facility that is made possible thanks to volunteer staff. There are few paying positions available. The staff that I encountered during my time as a volunteer was friendly, caring, and seemed to enjoy their jobs.

A Great organization working towards a good cause.
Volunteer (Former Employee) - Concord, CA - June 26, 2017
Enjoyed volunteering for this organization. They provide much needed services for single mothers and children. A safe haven to leave children if you are a single mother in need of help.

Cool place to start if you want to get into education and psych
Volunteer Crisis Counselor (Former Employee) - Concord, CA - February 21, 2017
The staff was fairly kind but some were a bit aggressive towards the children making it a little uncomfortable for other staff who were present. The campus was clean and well-taken care of but probably could have offered more to their kids.

A good place to start
Program Manager/Outreach Coordinator (Current Employee) - Concord, CA - August 21, 2016
12-18 months is all you'll need for experience but don't stay any longer because this organization has not much to offer long term. Great for students starting out that want to expand their knowledge of childcare.
Pros
A good training ground for crisis experience
Cons
Low pay
