Working at Bay Area Driving Academy was such a great experience. Management was always on top of things and made sure driving instructors had everything they needed to be successful at their job. Working as a driving instructor pushes you to do your best because you're educating future drivers the rules of the road. You need patience and compassion for your student drivers so they can learn under stressful situations. By stressful, I mean most of the drivers haven't driven before and are completely new to driving and are scared. The training provided by the head driving instructor was phenomenal and helped me be successful as a driving instructor. The best part of the job was getting to meet new people from all sorts of background. You get to instruct teens and adults on how to drive all over the Bay Area. Our driving culture is so different from everywhere else and it does need some taking used to. The hardest part of the job was the unpaid travel time between each students houses. I think that has been taken care of now since the time I was employed there.
