What would you suggest BAYADA Home Health Care management do to prevent others from leaving?
Start implementing pay increases to your field staff. A thank you note or a BAYADA buck is not going to help with higher costs of living. Soon nurses will move elsewhere to other companies offering what you should have offered in the first place to keep up with competitive wages. I do not know anyone who would love to stay working for this company for life with no pay increase! Where is your future going? Come here if you are attending school to better yourself, need part time work while kids are young, are a retired nurse ect. Other then that BAYADA does not have a future for you!
Pay is good for a new nurse with no experience. You will never receive a raise! Do not ask, you will receive the same answer year after year. Smaller home care agencies will give you a yearly raise. Overall not a good place to work for as far as compensation goes
If you were in charge, what would you do to make BAYADA Home Health Care a better place to work?
Fire all the head staff & get people in who actually care about others.
I answered this once, apparently my answer was not used. Again, no, Bayada does not drug test. It is probably cost- prohibitive since they are so thrifty in most all of their dealings with staff. What people do on their own time is their own business. If the client is well-cared for, that is the most important issue.
What advice would you give the CEO of BAYADA Home Health Care about how to improve it?
Watch the management, they are not of the mind set that employees are the greatest asset. If you u don’t suck up to them your done. It’s going to be a revolving door for Bayada from now on
It used to be good now it’s awful
I had a nice phone interview then they wanted me to come in and do a skills demonstration as part of a lengthy interview. I turned it down. Too nerve wracking to expect people to do this when they are not even sure they want to work for this company. Skills practice maybe, but expecting me to demonstrate skills during an interview process is a bit much. No wonder they always have openings.
They did not give me enough hours even when I told them I could work more. No one can live off of 10 hours a week...
