Registrar (Former Employee) –  Dover, DEFebruary 13, 2019
DO NOT apply for Registrar!!! Management is lazy and petty. You will NOT get any proper training. Hours are always changing (you never know when you will have a shift change because there is NO COMMUNICATION!! You get treated poorly by nursing staff. You basically work hard for $12.58 per hour (no matter what degree you have). AVOID IF YOU CAN!!!

Registrar (Former Employee) –  Dover, DENovember 30, 2017
The hardest part of this job was that my boss would never let me changed my schedule, I worked every weekend and it was the night shift. I learned how to stay up thru out the night

Wonderful workplace with a great support system for the cancer registry.
Tumor Registrar, Tumor Registry (Former Employee) –  Dover ,DEApril 24, 2015
Abstracting was my main function along with preparing for cancer conference and attending. You travel to a different location to work which was a change that helped keep you busy and showed you different types of cases. This is where I learned to abstract it was hard at first but with the help and support of my manager it was an enjoyable job.
Pros
Supportive manager
Cons
No growth

Working at Bayhealth
Patient Access/Registrar (Current Employee) –  Dover, DEJune 7, 2012
A typical day usually includes registering patients in the ER, answering phones, putting in admission orders, faxing orders and helping out any staff. I've learned alot from working here. I've learned alot about Insurance Verification and how it feels to work in a fast paced, hectic atmosphere. I enjoy my job and I have very much enjoyed the experience.
Pros
good pay and benefits, good experience, challenging work
Cons
short breaks or no breaks, hours, hectic at times, management decisions effecting staff, management not listening to staff
