Medical Staff was friendly
Management was not good. Never knew what was going on. Management listened to other employees and didn't know how their system would not work for what they were wanting to do.

Management
The Warehouse associate position at Temple Texas possesses the most incompetent management I have ever seen. DO NOT CARE about employees at all, they just see numbers. There is not room for career advancement just empty promises to get you in. They will work you like a horse.

good co workers
I enjoyed teamwork but the market matching is terrible. Baylor does not invest in people who are willing to stay and work for a long time. They don't value retention.

Work flow
I love working at Baylor Scott and White. I enjoy my co workers and the experience that I can give new comers. I started working there in 2012 and am still there today

They are committed to their pricipals
I would liked to have stayed there but the COVID-19 financial set-backs made that impossible. The last 2 1/2 months I was working from home owing the the virus. They can be flexible that way.

Unorganized, confusing, poor leadership
BSW pays really well, so if your motivation is money, apply! However, leadership is weak, technology is old (EPIC doesn't communicate well with Soft), groups in the hospital use poor communication skills, HR is almost non-existent, very poor safety practices (close to calling OSHA), and management IS NOT OPEN to hearing suggestions! Trust me. I have had to modify my work practices to work around safety issues. I have had to purchase my own N-100 masks because the masks given out are useless around virus spewing patients! Also, the nursing staff works hard but they need training regarding lab samples. But the safety issues are critical. Techs aren't washing hands, many beds don't work/ rise, lighting in some rooms is terrible (have to open blinds to get better lighting in order to collect samples), and nursing staff is known to change patient status in order to avoid blood collections. The lab tech will then collect samples on a highly infectious patient only to have the nursing staff change the patient status once samples are collected! Very dangerous for the tech.

Interview Questions

They asked me to describe a time where I have a patient or customer who was difficult and how did I "win them over," and asked me what would I do if a co-worker ever made me feel uncomfortable and how would I handle the situation?
