May 25, 2023We are committed to providing an enriching and rewarding experience for our employees. Thank you for taking the time to share this glowing review with us. We love hearing this feedback, and we wish you continued growth and happiness!
It was an awesome place until they got new management.
Medical Assistant (Former Employee) - Waxahachie, TX - September 23, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Benefits and pay were good. Providers were all very helpful, friendly and easy to work with. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Management sucks! They show favoritism and change policies without any notice. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Toxic and backstabbing. Management lies and does not follow through. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Rooming patients and patient care.

The hours worked were good.
Appeals and Grievance Specialist (Former Employee) - Temple, TX - September 21, 2023
I’m thankful for the promotions that I was given but upper management seriously let me down. I was expected to do my job to their standards with no help or guidance. Leadership was non-existent and it was very frustrating. I did enjoy my role in the A&G department because I wasn’t micromanaged. I was allowed to do my job with someone constantly looking over my shoulders but it would have been nice up be able to count on my upper management to be available when I did need their assistance. I got burned out quickly!
Pros
Good hours and nice people.
Cons
Lack of leadership when needed. Not enough support and guidance!

Hope the environment is better
Phlebotomist (Former Employee) - Temple, TX - September 21, 2023
A lot of drama and toxicity. Higher ups were more concerned about numbers than health of the department. If you keep yourself focused and don't get to wrapped up in things then it can be a great place to work. I just experienced a lot of people trying to bring highschool-like drama into a professional workplace.

ICU nurse
Registered Nurse (Current Employee) - Dallas, TX - September 20, 2023
Great working environment and management. I feel supported by management and that I have the resources I need to deliver safe patient care. Nurse to patient ratios are safe in the ICU's I work in.

Favoritism and Politics
Supervisor (Former Employee) - Dallas, TX - September 19, 2023
There is a lot of favoritism shown and politics. Do not go to HR for help…it only makes matters worse. Their non retaliation policy is a joke. Leadership supports managers in workplace bullying and will make you out to be the problem. The benefits are not very good and the pay is mediocre when compared to other places. There are plenty of other options in healthcare to choose from before you choose this place.
Pros
It’s a job and a paycheck every 2 weeks
Cons
Benefits, management

Unrealistic expectations from the C suite
Supervisor/Manager (Former Employee) - Rowlett, TX - September 18, 2023
The C suite has completely unrealistic expectations for leadership. No task could be completed because, at any one time, you are expected to juggle 20+ major tasks. And the expected hours of work are ridiculous. I was an hourly employee, and regularly clocked 60+ hours each week, not counting the countless hours of work off the clock that I did with after hours phone calls, emails, etc.

There is nothing negative I can say about Baylor Scott and White. I love working here.
Room Control Coordinator (Former Employee) - Irving, TX - September 14, 2023
My department works as a team, we learn from each other. The Management are always willing to help with any problems, whether personal or professionally. Hardest part of my job is the distance I drive everyday. I love what I do.

Baylor: Excellent Hospital
Registered Nurse (RN) (Former Employee) - Grapevine, TX - September 14, 2023
The gold standard hospital to learn the correct way to grow your nursing skills, knowledge and career. Beautiful, clean and organized. Top nursing and hospital staff are recruited to work at Baylor. A typical day of work did feel like a 10/10 stress but that’s normal in the nursing field.

Good clinic
Administrative Assistant (Current Employee) - Grapevine, TX - September 13, 2023
The outpatient clinic I work at is great. There is normal some office drama but the schedule is worth it. The pay is terrible and new hires make more than the people that have been here for years and have a decade of experience but they wont do anything about it.

The Best Job, I have ever had and it just keeps amazing me every day.
CCS-2 (Current Employee) - Temple, TX - September 13, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? The company values its employees from the smallest to the biggest. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The times you can't help someone. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Amazing and forever evolving for the better. What is a typical day like for you at the company? My day starts with reading emails, greeting my co-workers, and then answering questions from the patients.

Toxic work environment
LVN Nurse (Current Employee) - Austin, TX - September 9, 2023
Management continuously allows the same cliquey “team” to run everyone else out of the clinic, doesn’t matter who you are, how hardworking and efficient you are, how quickly you pick everything up or how long you’ve been with BSW, you’ll get singled out all the same.
