Hope the environment is better
Phlebotomist (Former Employee) - Temple, TX - September 21, 2023
A lot of drama and toxicity. Higher ups were more concerned about numbers than health of the department. If you keep yourself focused and don't get to wrapped up in things then it can be a great place to work. I just experienced a lot of people trying to bring highschool-like drama into a professional workplace.

Good pay, OK culture between workers but the management sucks the life out of it
Phlebotomist (Current Employee) - Temple, TX - August 9, 2023
I work as a phlebotomist and it's good if you want more independent work at night but management is basically its own HR. Scheduling can be flexible but honestly management is poor about keep up with it (schedule released at the last minute ) and they prefer you work sick then to call out. HR won't help if anything happens as apparently the rule that phlebotomy follow are different compared to whats set for the rest of the place so they decide what goes.

The thing that stand out the most about Baylor Scott and White is that I received many opportunities and got to learn many skills that were important to my career.
Pros
free lunches sometimes
Cons
short staff, no team work
