Good Benefits but no opportunity to grow
Branch Banker IV (Former Employee) – Manassas, VA – December 1, 2018
I worked at BB&T for a long time. Banking industry specially BB&T has changed a lot. They are "clients" driven meaning that we have to do what's best for the client which I agree 100% BUT they don't take care of their employees. Is all about sells even thought we are told that we have to do what's the best interest of our clients but yet we still have branch goals when they took away the "Individual" goals so we don't get pay for ANY of the sales we make, but by the end of the year if the branch makes the goal the only one that gets a Payout (bonus) is the Branch Manager. Branch Bankers which usually are the ones that makes most of the sells don't see a dollar out of that. Also, there is poor management, short staff all the time and they expect us to multitask because we are "Universal Bankers" but it doesn't work all the way around. Even thought my title was Branch Banker, they expected us to be tellers, loan officers and Managers when the manager is out of the office, but the salary remains the same. It does not matter how much you do it's NEVER enough.
Poor management, no commissions, no Opportunities
