They don’t give any of their stock, sewing, or laundry room workers raises unless they feel pressured to (one coworker confided in me that after 28 years of working there she was only paid $13.50) and the people you’ll be working with are nasty, gossiping old ladies with few exceptions. The managers either like you and put you on easy stuff or they hurt their productivity by excluding you from work that needs to be done. If they know you’re bad at something they will make you do it all day to hurt your average of the week. Lastly, they have a mandatory overtime that starts at 3 AM or 4AM…without telling you if you don’t work the day they decide to announce it on the work floor.
3AM or 4AM or 6AM starts
