As long as you get your work done they are flexible on hours and work life balance.Benefits are great, Some people are great to work with. There is little to know on board training, IT issues you solve yourself. No job advancement opportunities given. You will be expected to form out of your scope of work with little to know management assistance.

Total Rewards - Benefits Integration Leader in San Diego County, CA
on September 9, 2021
I worked on the conversion when BD purchased Carefusion. The work was great, but there was a big disconnect between departments and interdepartmental communication was discouraged, even when it would have benefited leadership of both departments. Leaders were terrified of being removed so anything that did not go perfectly well was blamed on their teams. This created a lot of tension and trust issues between team members. Some leaders were better than others, of course. It was such a shame to see the front line leaders act in such a manner as it hurt the productivity of the company and destroyed the culture at the time. Of course they had all of the “right” messaging surrounding diversity with affiliate groups but it was just another box to check off. The culture that was portrayed and actual practices were so disparate it was obvious it was a message directed to investors and not intended to mean anything for the employees. The cafeteria was a plus!

Everyone loves working for BD. But they would rather keep hiring contractors without ever giving them opportunities to convert to permanent. BD provides clubs to keep employees engaged.
Quality Specialist in Covington, GA

BD is not what it was 10 years ago. It became very big and slow and company generally do not care about employees. Leadership and corporate people are bullies and do not know how to manage warehouses. Too many corporate projects and reporting is done to satisfy corporate "leaders". High turnovers in every organization since people are burned out and unhappy. I am looking for other opportunities.

Interview Questions

The usual questions that everyone ask you but I had a few of my own to ask and I received upfront answers. They were questioning my job longevity due to being a professional contractor. Some contractors are years long while others are just a few weeks. I am an engineer that worked in many fields and medical was one of them. The company would need an individual that has both medical and technical writing backgrounds.
