rewarding job, but workload is stressful

I enjoyed working with residents of adult foster care home. Sometimes it was stressful and draining having to deal with verbal and physical aggression. It was worth it when you could see the difference that you made in the residents; sometimes they'll tell you. There are opportunities for advancement, but expect added stress along the way. I think the - more... company means well, but doesn't understand the workload of the people working directly with the residents (direct care staff & home managers/assistant managers), and all that they have to deal with. - less
