Store Associate (Former Employee) –  Vernon Hills, ILMay 9, 2018
I enjoyed my time there for the most part, being able to work and develop my customer service skills, while also being very active physically, including climbing ladders, lifting boxes, etc.

Customer Service, Cashier, Bridal Consultant (Former Employee) –  Ventura, CAMay 8, 2018
It is a nice place to work at but for part time they expect way to much. Managers stay upstairs with manager work and can't really participate on the floor.

Cashier (Former Employee) –  MissouriMay 8, 2018
Bed Bath and Beyond hardly ever gives time off even when requested long in advance. When you try to talk to management about it they are often rude and inconsiderate of your life outside of work. They will work you as much as they can and say they are flexible but they really are not.
Pros
Friendly coworkers
Cons
Inconsistent hours, inconsiderate management

Fast paced yet fun. Managers were really nice but the work wasn't worth the pay. The employees were really helpful and happy to teach new employees the ropes.

Retail Associate (Current Employee) –  Gainesville, FLMay 8, 2018
My customer service knowledge has grown. It has moments when it can be fast paced but it can also be slow paced at night. There is always something to do and many positions to learn from.

Operations Manager (Former Employee) –  Laguna Niguel, CAMay 7, 2018
This is an all hands on deck work environment. Everyone is required to do labor work including the Store Manager. Something different to do on a daily basis.

Front End Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Vienna, VAMay 5, 2018
Worked at bed bath and beyond for 5 years. Hated everyday after the 1st year. People are held to different standards than others. No clear objective. Key holders just sit in the back and don’t support the the supervisors. A highschool atmosphere.

My time spent with Bed Bath and Beyond was not great. The leadership was never on the same page and caused the store level employees more work and time away from family.
Pros
Relaxed dress code, employee discount
Cons
long work hours, poor communication

There's always something to do. Sometimes too many things. Customers come first before tasks. It's fun and can be a bit overwhelming. Not for people who like to stand around do nothing.
Pros
Yearly Lunches, Special Associate Discounts during the year
Cons
Sometimes tasks can be overwhelming

BBB taught me a great deal about time management and gave classes to further product knowledge. No one person is an island. Everyone relies on one another to get the job done.

SOFTLINES MANAGER (Former Employee) –  Deerfield, ILMay 3, 2018
The people for the most part were great to work with at store level. Expectations of upper management based on the allowable hours given were way too lofty.
Pros
great benefits
Cons
company gives workers state minimum requirements for breaks, ie. if you worked a 6 hour shift no breaks. if you worked a 10 hour day 30 minute meal.

Work is tolerable and management is average. Team work could be better. It is a god company, but the hours could be more and pay could be more for all the work that "sales associates" are required to do
