Business Development Manager III (Former Employee) – Bristol CT – November 6, 2016
Sales team is very core and tight. Team likes to have fun but also knows what needs to be done to achieve goals. Hierarchy of management team is top notch. co workers are open and friendly but know when they need to get to work. Hardest part of the job is making time for all customers all the time. most enjoyable part of the job is the customers and learning more about the products and devices and how they all work in the facilities.
open communication within the team and upper management
The review mentioning the personality tests is accurate. But it also goes well beyond this after you're hired. Go back and re-read the posting- notice some strange phrasings? Human Performance Improvement Manager...really? This is because at Beekley, they literally have their own language. You actually get a glossary called Beek Speak on your first day. You know what else has their own languages? Cults.
In addition to the language and personality assessments, they have a ridiculous and expensive dress code. The head of Human Assets and Development aka HR, actually walks around the office to ensure that women are wearing pantyhose. You are also forced to walk around in a blazer all the time. Go look at employee LinkedIn photos. They all look THE SAME.
In short, if you like the whole cult mentality, great! This place is for you. If enjoy using your own brain, expressing your own unique personality and using the English language, run. Run away very fast.
Being a member of the Beekley Team is like being on a journey of discovery. A Continuous Learning opportunity like no other. Learning; about yourself, about others, about the community, about our customers, and about our mission. Here you will find your passion; and you will put it to work for the greater good.
Took projects from concept, design, through pre-press to final print. Often under budget by utilizing my knowledge of pre-press production. Produced volumes of collateral material, under acute deadlines. Created committee and event logos.
