Lies, lies, lies
Driver (Former Employee) –  Princeton, INJuly 30, 2019
Biggest bunch of lying people I have ever dealt with in 30 years of trucking. Very slow on getting equipment fixed if done at all
Company is geared for blaming the driver for any thing may disrupt the flow of operations. Most people in management would rather climb a tree and lie rather than stand on the ground and tell the truth

The company is ok
Driver (Current Employee) –  Springfield, ILJuly 28, 2019
The company is ok,there management plays favoritism to certain drivers. The main problem is the dispatcher, she is married to one of the drivers if you’re not friends with that driver, you don’t get good paying loads. You are payed A percentage of the loads.

Worker (Former Employee) –  Alorton, ILJuly 12, 2019
Was told in my interview not to believe the reviews on the company. Well believe them they are all true. Only perk is free healthcare. Slave labor at low wages with horrible management.

Mediocre place of employment
Driver (Former Employee) –  Princeton, INMay 31, 2019
This job is not for everyone nor is certain terminal managers. I'd say over all Beelmans employees are good to work with especially the drivers. They do try to force loads at the last minute but it is the nature of the job. They compensate well.

Work hard get paid
Dry Bulk Tanker Truck Driver trainer (Current Employee) –  Montevallo, ALApril 8, 2019
Over all Beelman is a good company to work for., their things that can be better. Trainers do things 100 different ways so most drivers do 100 different things. The corporate office needs to get this fixed. They should also do a better job of explaining how the insurance works. I have sent a few people to get kids here. Good place to make better than average money, if you work.
Pros
Good money for a company driver
Cons
Waiting to load, at lime plants.

Beelman Trucking co.
Laborer (Former Employee) –  Farmington, MOApril 4, 2019
The typical day was horrible start to finish, I would show up early to start my day, and still get out passed my shift, i learned how to operate a forklift and handle strong chemicals such as acids. The management didn't care for employees health or fatigue from working 12 to 14 hour shifts back to back. The hardest part of the job was handling hydrate, which was a type of lime that the dust could choke you out. The most enjoyable part of my time at Beelman was when i got to operate the forklift and cleaning off the cabs of the semis
Pros
30 mins of lunch, The benefits
Cons
I only got 1 break for 14 hours

Good co-workers, hard working, dedicated employees, good pay
Exec Assist to CEO/Procurement/Fleet Maint Sys Mgr (Former Employee) –  East Saint Louis, ILJanuary 8, 2019
there were great people that worked there and for the most part everyone worked as a team. Hard working, dedicated employees that want to do things right and care about their job. There was a lack of communication from management and appreciation for their employees. There was no hierarchy or management levels of responsibility. Everyone pretty much reported to the owners. For a large company they did not have a Human Resource department where employees could express their concerns. You had to speak directly to owners. Nice working conditions and pay was good but the stress level that was forced on employees is unacceptable. As the saying goes.... "Never push loyal employees to the point they no longer care. Loyal employees are your most valuable asset".
Pros
Good health insurance and 401k matching plan
Cons
no loyalty or respect for hard working, dedicated employees

This job sucked
Driver (Former Employee) –  Alorton, ILDecember 16, 2018
The management is very petty, it takes a lot to get them to do anything, and the equipment that you can get stuck with might not even make it down the road safely. I for example went through 7 trucks, due to a air purification system. These trucks were the 2013 model, despite the company's promise to phase these out the models 2015 and older. I have been stuck with a truck that had over 500,000 miles, and had many air regeneration issues. The very first month I worked there, after training, I was stuck in repair shops, delivering maybe 2 loads a week. I complained numerous times to my yard manager and supervisor, but the response was "You're lucky to have that truck."

Poor management
Class A CDL Driver OTR and Local (Former Employee) –  East Saint Louis, IL 62205December 10, 2018
They would fire people in the office then make other office staff take over their duties on top of their duties. Management was stretched thin. Lots of backstabbing. Terminal manager constantly lied about new trucks coming. Poor communication between breakdown dept and terminal. Safety manager is arrogant.
Pros
Good benefits and pay

Poor management

Horrible place to work!
Driver (Former Employee) –  Blytheville, ARNovember 17, 2018
Over all Horrible company to work for. Little to no training. No HR which allows certain individuals in upper management do as they please. They tell you one minute your job is secure and your doing a good job then all of a sudden they show up one day and your fired out of the blue. No write ups, no complaints, nothing. They descriminate on age. Refused to hire a older driver back after he was medically released because he was a liability. They made a whole terminal work without any facilities for 3 months after a tornado destroyed old shop/office. Everyday telling them that it was almost over that they was just days away from a solution. Never reimbursed for expenses when told by upper management that would be. Refused to follow employee handbook. Anytime an employee was disciplined/terminated for violations clearly written in handbook it would be overturned by upper management. All said employee had to do was go above local management.
Pros
Benefits
Cons
Poor upper managment, No training for shop/office personell. Expect to be lied to

Be ready too starve half the year.
Driver (Former Employee) –  IllinoisSeptember 20, 2018
Maybe 5 or 6 months of good work, If your in the click then you do well all year. Will let drivers go bankrupt before they let them draw unemployment when it gets very slow, and it will.. Way too many trucks for what steady work they have.
Pros
Good equipment.
Cons
Way to clicky, lot of games

Good when its warm out
Driver (Former Employee) –  Carlyle, ILMarch 1, 2018
Watch oit winter hits and you have nothing to do. Also if there short on work prepare to get the shaft because the experienced guys are getting that work. While seniority I agree with if you don't have the work to spread around don't hire so many people. And when the work really starts to get slow the newer hires are going to get layed off. Stay away from this place.
Pros
Goodpay when they have the work home every night
Cons
Drive in some sketchy places... Older guys treat new guys like dirt.. Management isnt great

Do not work here
Dispatching (Former Employee) –  East Saint Louis, ILFebruary 26, 2018
Mean spirited people. Hateful, will fire you on a whim and destroy your resume. Management talks terribly about the current employees. Expect management to team up with one another to can you. All of you wonderful amazing people out there take your skills and execute them for a good company. This company is so miserable they want everyone around them to be miserable. Don't let them destroy your resume they will fire you for no reason when you least expect it.
Pros
none
Cons
horrible management, no HR department
