The most useful review selected by IndeedExcellent management very knowledgeable staff members and helpful hr/supervisors. Gave 4 stars because sometimes scheduling has trouble keeping up with changes and won’t update you until short notice. Also pay us for a holiday!!!

Fun work place
Senior behavior consultant (Current Employee) - Las Vegas, NV - September 14, 2023
Overall the company does well providing supervision and mentorship. There is a great relationship between staff and it is a great work family, but the pay seems to be low compared to other companies.

Jobs at Behavior And Education
Depends on what you are looking for
Behavioral Therapist (Former Employee) - Manhattan Beach, CA - September 11, 2023
I enjoyed the people I worked with, but very low opportunity for growth unless you complete a master's degree. Schedule can be confusing and cancellations happen frequently.

Hard to get hours
Behavior Technician (Current Employee) - Los Angeles, CA - July 14, 2023
Hard to increase your hours enough to work full time. Some approaches to treatment are outdated aba approaches, don’t enjoy repeating trials with clients that are clearly too advanced for the work.

Fun
RBT (Former Employee) - Torrance, CA - May 24, 2023
I enjoyed working with my clients. The supervisors were extremely nice and helpful. The hours could be spotty due to client cancellations so be open to reroutes.

Ok workplace
Behavior Therapist (Current Employee) - Torrance, CA - February 28, 2023
This company is very unorganized and They are stingy with schedule changes. The scheduling team is a mess, they're extremely rude and don't have care for any of the BT's. One of them in specific. The pay is dissapointing for what we put up with

Horrible management - inconsistent hours
Behavioral Therapist (Former Employee) - Long Beach, CA - January 25, 2023
Never knew what I would be making each pay period as my hours were constantly taken from me and not replenished. Built solid rapport with a few of my clients, and was taken off the cases with zero warning or ability to say goodbye, parents didn’t want these changes either. School cases were extremely challenging- especially if I had to sub. I was hardly given instruction as to where to go, park, or what plans to follow. I am very solid in behavioral health, and was often told I was a preferred staff member, so I can’t fathom how others felt or were treated. At one point, I was added to a case which came with a new supervisor and she spoke to me like I was a waste of her time every time we interacted. I got nothing other than positive feedback from my supervisors, but was never offered a raise until I put my two weeks notice in. Upper management and scheduling are extremely unhelpful.
Pros
no weekends
Cons
Inconsistent hours and pay, terrible supervisors, zero say in clientele

Great starting company with lots of support, great supervisor, but underpaid.
Behavioral Therapist (Current Employee) - Long Beach, CA - June 10, 2022
This company is great to start, but the pay is not the greatest. Most managers are great and always willing to help. I have even seen Program Directors and Clinical Directors in the field. They are very flexible to accommodate your availability, but when clients cancel, we are sometimes left without reroutes. Scheduling is overall great majority of the time. If you want to advance, you need a master's degree.

Superb mentorship and place to grow as a clinician
Program Manager (Current Employee) - South Los Angeles, CA - June 4, 2022
This is not my first supervisory job as a BCBA, yet it is refreshing to work at an agency that not only offers so much support and mentorship, but is ethical in it's practices as well. If I ever have any concerns, my supervisors have always been able to address or offer support when needed. The caseload is manageable. Its fantastic being able to provide support to direct staff. There are possibilities to do remote work, and if you prefer in person, the drive time between clients are manageable, even with LA traffic. This is such a fantastic place to gain that experience and mentorship I find lacking in some other agencies I've previously worked for.
Pros
Mentorship, CEU opportunities, supportive supervisory and clinical staff
Cons
Turnover with direct staff (to be expected in this field, worse since start of pandemic)

Pay isn't great, management could be better
Behavioral Therapist (Former Employee) - Hermosa Beach, CA - May 17, 2022
I loved working with the kids, and management was very supportive when I first started. Over just a few months, there was a huge lack of support. Schedule became a mess and I became burnt out very quickly. As much as I would bring this up to management and as much as they said we need to prioritize our mental health, they would ignore or gaslight me when I vented my frustrations. They also did things that I didn't consider ethical. I worked with another therapist who was covid positive and symptomatic, but they were advised to come to work anyway. They did not notify me about their positive covid status, I heard it after the fact. Pay is abysmal and if you ask enough people in the industry, there are other agencies that start you off with a better salary. Scheduling was inconsistent and it was difficult to get 40 hours. I work somewhere else now and keep in touch with friends I made with the agency. When those friends started quitting, they tried to accuse me of talking them into quitting. Very unprofessional and immature.

Part time job not a career
Behavioral Therapist (Current Employee) - Long Beach, CA - February 21, 2022
Good place to begin if you have no work experience and enjoy working with children. Some days can be tougher than others. Not ideal if you need a stable job but maybe a better experience if you are looking for part-time or if you are a student.

For ABA Work and Service, You Cannot do better than Behavior and Education, Inc.
ABA Behavioral Therapist (Analyst/Interventionist role) (Current Employee) - Cypress, CA - February 8, 2022
This was a terrific job, but I feel more drawn to mental health than ABA. I decided to move on, but I have met some really outstanding and upstanding folks there and it was an experience I am glad I had. If your heart is in ABA, you will do amazing here and flourish. The job is just really not for me.

Quality clinical service with supportive leadership
Supervisor (Current Employee) - San Bernardino, CA - February 4, 2022
Behavior and Education is a good company to work for. They provide quality clinical services and the leadership is very supportive. Caseloads are manageable though you may have to drive far to see clients. Ongoing training and CEU opportunities are provided.

Lots of learning offered!
Behavior Technician (Current Employee) - Hesperia, CA - September 9, 2021
Starting out in this field, I have been given a lot of support by an entire team of supervisors, managers, and my directors. I love all the opportunities to learn new ways to support my clients and help them meet goals and make progress. I am hoping to pursue my degree and keep learning more in ABA. I love the kids I get to work with, and I am glad to have a lot of support from my supervisors.
Pros
Training, support, compassionate leaders
Cons
Schedules can change with little notice

Not a stable job/income
Behavioral Therapist (Former Employee) - Los Angeles County, CA - July 29, 2021
Rewarding job if you can actually get clients. I was hired as a full-time employee but sometimes only working 2 hours a day. This will put you in a super difficult situation if you're relying on this job for your main source of income to pay the bills. Clients may cancel as you're on the way to their house for their session and then you have to go back home and wait until scheduling can find somewhere else for you to go, if they ever do. Not paid extra for canceled sessions, only paid if they can find you some other work to do. They're constantly hiring more BT's yet the BT's they already have do not have a stable 40 hr a week job.
Pros
Rewarding, fun, laidback
Cons
Unreliable, low pay, no growth opportunities without a master's

Really fun and fulfilling but not everyone works full time.
Behavioral Therapist (Current Employee) - Corona, CA - March 18, 2021
I know some employees who have been full time since they started two years ago but the company has been unable to get me to full time for more than a few weeks. Hard to maintain full time hours and the company is always trying to expand so they're spread thin.

Great Work Place!
Program Manager (Current Employee) - Lancaster, CA - February 24, 2021
This company cares about their employees. Quarterly CEUs trainings are provided to supervisors and above. Compensation is competitive and the clinical and administrative staff are knowledgeable and supportive. Highly Recommend this agency.
Pros
CEUs, compensation, ongoing training and development, knowledgable clinical staff

Good for starting out
Behavioral Therapist (Former Employee) - Cypress, CA - February 2, 2021
Good for starting out, but unless you want to advance you'll need a Master's degree. Supervisors are helpful and give good feedbacks. Scheduling is ok, but terrible when there is a cancellation. You're left waiting for a reroute, and sometimes there's none and you just wasted that time for nothing.
Pros
Good feedbacks
Cons
Scheduling needs work

This is the place to grow
Program Supervisor (Current Employee) - Cypress, CA - August 18, 2020
This industry can be hard, and the job by definition can be isolating, but Behavior and Education puts so much effort into creating a culture of support and inclusion for their team. Regular staff meetings and trainings, frequent overlaps, and an accessible leadership team are a few of the stand out pieces that make this the best place I’ve ever worked. The standards are high, but the expectation is there, not only for the betterment of our clients, but to create well-rounded and professional clinicians. This is a teaching company, and layers of support exist at Behavior and Education that just don’t happen anywhere else. Beyond the amazing, and regular, training for staff the leadership team is accessible to anyone for anything. I asked for additional help with assessments, and had a training scheduled within the hour. This job is 100% what you make of it. If you’re looking for a career, Behavior and Education will give you every tool you need to be an amazing asset to this field. It’s hard work, but working with such a wonderful team and seeing all of the growth in my own abilities as well as my clients progress has been incredible, and I highly recommend the company-specifically the OC/LB division. You can’t fake company culture, and these people are just awesome
Pros
Ridiculously fun people, growth opportunities, professional development
Cons
Long days

ABA Therapy
Behavior Therapist (Former Employee) - Manhattan Beach, CA - July 14, 2020
I didn't work long here. It wasn't a good fit for me. Training was taxing, I was not able nor ready to drive as much as I was expected to given that I was a new driver. I only did therapy for 1.5 weeks
