OUTSIDE PRO SALES REPRESENTATIVE (Current Employee) – PA – April 16, 2018
Behr is a great culture and runs like it is a family. Two issues with company are pay. They have very low starting salary with no bonus plan. Commission is told to be guaranteed number but can be significantly less than what your told to expect. Also working with big box stores is not that easy as you have no control of product or services and rely on part time associates making 8 dollars an hour to care about your customer.
They lie about how your experiencd will be and how they manage the building
Order Puller (Former Employee) – Sauk Village, IL – March 26, 2018
Managers say they want new ideas but speaking up for something new or safety violations will get you in trouble especially if the person doing something unsafe is friends with a boss or has been at the job a line time. They refuse to train on the forklift due to canadits from the past and will over work you and if you even kindly try and tell them it's too much work you can still get disciplined for it. You are supposed to pull a min of 40,000lbs 10,000 an hour. If they notice you can do more, they start over working you and start trying to make you pull 12-15,000 per hr and the job wears on your back but all the card about is potential numbers and on top of that a good number of bosses have never pulled so they don't understand the work it takes to do the job. Just numbers
Warehouse Supervisor (Current Employee) – Kutztown, PA – February 27, 2018
Behr really emphasis a safe work place. Also upper management is very friendly and go out of their way to make all employees feel wanted and appreciated. For a large company there needs to be more of a structure training process for new hires. One that is used by all locations and is consistent throughout the company.
Stable and profitable company.
Life work balance. All locations are not run the same.
Admin. Tech. Support Customer Service Data Entry (Former Employee) – Santa Ana, CA – December 4, 2017
Some areas were faster pace, than other areas. This was the best company to work for as for culture, job position, educational, everyday was different. Jobs had to be sent out on time and they were with enjoyment. This a fun & creative company to work with when it comes to colors..
Delivery Driver/Warehouse (Former Employee) – Sauk Village, IL – November 30, 2017
Demanding job with some insensitive management. I learned the different grades and types of paint products. I also learned the process of tinting paint products, and packaging, shipping, and work site deliveries as well as residential.
Senior Chemist (Former Employee) – Santa Ana, CA – November 10, 2017
The company is an organized place to work: It is a very clean place with an excellent team of scientists. However, the managers were not competitive (As far in my department concern). The managers did not have nor expertice nor the visualization of the employees expectation. They only focused on one point on your review evaluation, perhaps to gain time and not to pay what you deserved. Maybe by this time, the company has better management organization and more decent people.
Sales Operations Manager (Former Employee) – Santa Ana, CA – October 16, 2017
The company prides itself on keeping a small company family feel and has mastered this. Focus on employee satisfaction is great. This makes it difficult for new opportunities for advancement as most people stay quite a while.
Open door policy, leadership accessibility, appreciation
