Beloit Comprehensive Treatment Center Careers and Employment
The workplace became hostile and traumatic and I no longer enjoyed working for the company. I became depressed and felt burned out most days before showing up for work.

The clinic is very small. The patients there often can be disrespectful because they have been allowed to.do.so for so long. The company higher up doesnt make choices that impact the clinic very well. The team I work with is great. Would not recommend if you are not able to adapt to frequent change or if you need to have a very rigid plan of your day. Things change and often. But the supervisors in the clinic are good. Both helpful and approachable and appear to want people to succeed.

I Really Loved working with the Patients at BCTC, they are really good people who had the misfortune to get mixed up with opioids for what ever reasonMy day started at 5:00 am with me logging into my computer and then looking at my schedule for the day. I carried a case load of 50 patients, and would see between 5-8 pt.'s per day. for a scheduled 1 hour individual therapy session. After each session I would write a Case note in the Data base and print the note and file it in the pt's chart. I was responsible for my pt's charts and they were kept in a file cabinet in my office. During session we would complete treatment plans, update treat plans, Opioid Dependence, Cocaine Dependence, THC Dependence and other substance's, Relapse prevention, Mental health reviews, discuss or work on anger issues, anxiety issues, Impulsivity, Behavioral changes, Legal problems, living Environment Deficiency's. Some Mornings I was responsible for maintaining/policing the lobby for all 300 pt's. I was also given Intakes to complete as they came in, this was divided between the counselors. I ended my shift at 1:30 pm. after 8 hours as there is no over time allowed. I usually took my 1/2 hour lunch around 11:30.
It was an experience I don't want to go through again. It was a constant snarly attitude I dealt with. Mgnt is the biggest problem. The RN is just mean.

A typical day is starting med pass at 5 am. It's fast paced from then until 11 am. Start cleaning the pumps and print up the daily reports. Attend the daily meeting with the counselors, reporting patient specifics such someone was not dosed due to a positive breathalyzer or they were positive for impairment, forgetting their lock box with take home bottle at home. Note or verify MD orders in computer.
