Equipment Coordinator in Pittston, PA
Overall it isn't a bad place to work
I am ready for a change. I've given the past 10 years to this company and feel stuck. I feel there is no where for me to advance my career. I am open to any and all opportunities that I feel can better my life and career.
Service Technician in United States
Could be better...
Company is ok if you are starting as a Service Tech, although the only way to get a real salary raise is to jump ship (or threaten to jump ship) to a competitor.
Management is OK for certain things like securing training for the crew and letting people know what is coming through the grapevine, but will never back you as a tech and will always side with the customers (even when it's clearly obvious that the customer is wrong or straight up trying to get Benco to give them free stuff).
Benefits are not all that good, medical insurance is not very affordable and for a dental company their dental insurance plan is a joke (oh the irony).
Corporate culture is another big joke. Their really push the idea that Benco is a great company to work at (maybe in the past, not so much anymore) and they forster an almost cult like environment to praise the family that owns the company.
Benco's business model is somewhat outdated and is going to be phased out in a matter of years (if not months thanks to the Pandemic) so they better adapt soon or else they will see their share of the market further reduced.

CEO is reprehensible!!!
The CEO is a despicable person and cannot be trusted. Terrible human being who believes everyone is below him. Benco used to be the place to work but with unfortunate hiring of the current CEO it has changed.
Moral has been declining quite some time now. Just a number, no longer have sense of security. The suck-ups seem to move up in the company. Longevity is not a positive trait to have as an employee. The poor warehouse staff are treated like second rate citizens. Very sad to watch seasoned employees pushed out. Health benefits are lacking and expensive, 20% co-insurance is high.
