Productive, fast paced, fun place to work
Lead Sales Aesthetician (Current Employee) –  Riverside, CAApril 26, 2018
I love my job @ Benefit. It can be very fast paced and a lot of pressure. You def have to get on everyone's good side to advance. So if you're in a location that's not so busy, goodluck. But they really love their employees. Just have to meet your numbers whether you have the business or not to advance there.
Pros
Hour lunch, birthday cards, gratis, etc
Cons
Nit picky attitudes from management, not enough guidance with events

Aesthetician/ Brow Expert (Current Employee) –  Wellington, FLJanuary 3, 2017
Fun & Upbeat cosmetics company to work for... would've prefer Full time vs Part time. To qualify for all the perks in health benefits paid vacations & Holidays. As a part timer it isn't as beneficial to work every weekend Friday-Monday and not get full benefits.
Pros
1 hour break & gratis twice a year! Bday gift card
Cons
Part time, daily Paper work

No work life balance, unprofessional co-workers. Not a very healthy environment, to they ask a lot from you even if your producing. Free make-up is the best part.

Pros and cons
Aesthetician (Former Employee) –  New York, NYApril 27, 2016
While the general idea of benefit is to promote a "girlfriend" experience it is often a Mean Girls environment with obvious favoritism and often encourages a competitive vs team atmosphere.
Employees in equal positions are not all held accountable the same way, tips are not always paid in a timely manner and advancement is difficult.
However the base pay and product commission is Standard and the gratis program allows you to try the products which do what they say they will and are affordable to most customers.
Pros
Fair pay
Cons
No work/life balance, unprofessional employees, favortism

Avoid the Southpark Location
Aesthetician (Former Employee) –  Charlotte, NCNovember 4, 2014
I worked for Benefit for one year and it was a horrifying experience. As a USAF veteran I didn't know what PTSD was until after I quit. With no formal training as an Aesthetician at the counter I was responsible for making service, product sales, rebooking and conversion goals. I was able to make some goals but not all as some were very ambitious. Each service was supposed to be about 20 minutes -intake, sale, consult, sale, wax/tweeze, sale, rebook and pass them to BAs to make more sales.

The retail manager was money hungry and never paid positive feedback unless her boss (regional manager) made her. After being prescribed anxiety medication from the scandal of Benefit I got a final warning from corporate when I threatened to hire an employment attorney. Needless to say that the turnover is alarmingly high. Six employees in a year and a half... and what company hides the human resources department contact information? Seriously, don't work for Benefit unless you are a robot or hard up for a job.
Pros
free products
Cons
hours, no opportunity, poor communication, lackadaisical managers, catty women

Horrible Corporate Management & Human Resources
Corporate Aesthetician (Former Employee) –  San Francisco, CAAugust 16, 2012
They shut down a brow cart and left me without a job. They denied me any compensation and got away with wrongful termination because they believe if there is no brow bar at that location then you have no job. They do not relocate you to another position. Your position is terminated and you will no longer be needed
Pros
gratis pieces
Cons
pestering customers, no breaks are allowed, they work you with no intentions of promotions
