Overwhelming and Underappreciated
Eligibility Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Portland, ORSeptember 12, 2018
The employee turn-around is very high. Sometimes instead of replacing an employee, the position will be eliminated. Most employees are doing the job of 2 people, but are getting paid at the lower end of similar positions. Management only wants results, they request that employees take the time to do things right but then state that everything needs to be done on time with no overtime and cut positions. The environment is very stressful and overwhelming.
Pros
Can wear jeans.
Cons
Causes stress and anxiety.

Revolving Door
Anonomous (Former Employee) –  Troy, MIAugust 18, 2018
Micromanagement and high turnover. Job descriptions don't match what the job title or pay is. Never a budget to work with. Horrible communication with upper management.
Pros
coworkers are nice
Cons
Health insurance is higher than buying your own. The C level execs have zero communication skills, if you don't talk the way they do, out the door you go.

Contributions Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Pleasanton, CAAugust 8, 2018
Departments are different and managed differently throughout the company. I enjoyed my days in the Pleasanton office. Management was light as long as your work was done, there was no micro management.
Pros
Team environment
Cons
Short Breaks, Management

Member Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Pleasanton, CAJuly 14, 2018
The job is very demanding and stressful, you get yelled at by clients for 8 hours, and the training is poor. Some of the managers are awesome, but most of the people working there do not care.

People are good. Work is fun. My team was the best team I ever worked. I didn't like the latest punch in and out time card system.

Other than that it was an OK place to work.

Honest opinion
Employee (Former Employee) –  TroyJune 9, 2018
Join this company only if you have no other job and desperately need one. Don't leave you current job and think of joining this. During interview, they seem to be nice and promise a lot. Hardly any week goes without people leaving, turn over rate is very high. Lack of training and frustrated screaming clients will drive you crazy. The medical insurance premium double up in two years and pay increase was 0 (some got 1%) or so. There is no plan to address issue and fix them instead quick fixes which continue to come back and haunt employees! The new management promised to change the culture, they are worse than the old one. If you question anything, you will get the pink slip.
Pros
Wish I could name one
Cons
Short cut to mental health issue

PLAN ASSOCIATE (Current Employee) –  Troy, MIJune 2, 2018
Each work day brings new challenges to the employees. Additional training opportunities would go a long way to assist employees in performing their work tasks.

Fast paced, but fun place to work
Member Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Maryland Heights, MOApril 30, 2018
BeneSys is a challenging but exiting place to work. You take incoming calls from members and answer there heath and welfare questions. If you cannot answer them, you research the question and call them member back. The management is very supportive and always willing to go the extra mile for each and every employee.
Pros
Management, Culture, Co-workers, Workplace, fast paced
Cons
Short-breaks, Stressful

Large company with family atmosphere
Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Troy, MIApril 10, 2018
This is one of the largest companies in the nation but they still treat employees like individuals. There is a great vacation plan. And more than normal paid holidays. The job can be a challenge, which is good because you are constantly learning new things. Management can be overwhelmed at times but always tries to help the employees when they can. This company always promotes from within also.
Pros
11 paid holidays, good amount of PTO, casual dress
Cons
Healthcare is pricey

Staff Accountant (Former Employee) –  Troy, MIApril 9, 2018
I found this company to be an asset to my career. Management is understanding and flexible to employee needs within reason. The culture here is demanding, but relaxed. There are multiple activities with fellow employees throughout the year.

Good Company with Bad Management and No Accountability
Benefits Specialist and Trust Plan Administrator (Current Employee) –  Portland, ORMarch 24, 2018
The company started out great, but there was just no accountability with management, and there was constant issues popping up that you would get blamed for, but had absolutely no control over.

I wish I could give this place no stars!!!!!!
Eligibility coordinator (Current Employee) –  Troy, MIFebruary 8, 2018
Management is horrible. They don’t care about their employees they want you to work for nothing and do five people‘s jobs. You do not advance in this place. They will say you can but you will NOT. It’s like high school were if your not one of the ‘cool people’ then your in trouble. They fire people all the time. I wouldn’t waste your time at this place.
Pros
Few paid holidays
Cons
No breaks, low pay, rude workers

Eligibility Specialist (Current Employee) –  Troy, MIJanuary 31, 2018
I enjoy working for BeneSys, but there is no room for advancement and the pay is extremely low for the amount of work they require from all of us. I am looking to advance if possible.

High turnover due to unrealistic job expectations and constantly understaffed. The workloads are ridiculous. Highly stressful work environment. They want 1 person to do the work of 3-5 people. Low pay for what’s expected.
