BMC is a good place to start as a nurse, but is a smaller hospital with no a lot of resources. I was a new nurse and feel i didn't get enough orientation. I was thrown into the work environment and it felt unsafe at times but i did learn a lot

The pay is great however there is an adversarial relationship between front line staff and management. They are also consistently extremely short staffed. It is hard to advance your career here as well.

BMC is not committed to supporting their nurses in order to provide safe care. They have their favorite employees who they will do anything for and support them in their advancement. It isn't a fair playing field.

This facility has helped my grown from a nursing assistant, to a professional Registered Nurse working in the Emergency Room. My co-workers, including physicians, constantly are spreading experience and knowledge to myself as well as other staff.
