Overworked and under appreciated
The organization, it’s founders, and executive leadership team are admirable, focused, and driven. Many peers become friends for the simple fact that you have this passion in common and they’re great people.
The truth beyond that is, you better be prepared to work ridiculous hours, report to someone who has no business being a manager, and sacrifice - more... your own life for the cause. There is no balance or appreciation. And good luck using all those fine vacation days. I left without them (they don’t pay out). - less
ProsExcellent leadership. Strong and focused mission. Great benefits. Coworkers who become like family.
ConsZero work life balance, They always want more, Managers with no business being managers, Non responsive HR support person, More work and goals than you could possibly accomplish without giving up your life, So much respect for the animals yet none for the humans driving the mission, Can’t really take time off, Really really slow in hiring additional team members which takes a huge toll, Don’t believe the hype, especially on travel time and work life balance.
