During holidays the hours are great but they’re so understaffed that you have to work your butt off. Summer hours are decent. Slow season (any other time) I was lucky to get 3 days a week and the shifts were 6 hours tops

The only thing that keeps my day going is knowing that I get to spend it with the animals. If I could go to work each day without having to deal with managers on my back about things that I already know how to do- then that would be amazing.

During slow season I’d get about 6 hour shifts max. During holidays it just depends on how long you’re willing to stay and sometimes past that. The longest shift I ever worked was 14 hours with an hour break.
