Good pay good differentials good ratios. Certain nurses won’t help out. Some units are newly renovated not including medsurg. Dependent heavy patients on medsurg units.

The system is going through lots of transition but most of it will have a positive and lasting effect. I enjoy working with many wonderful and helpful colleagues too!

Patient Observer in Boston, MA
on October 20, 2022

A typical day at work would be come into your patient's room, introduce yourself, clock in and keep your patient safe. Got to learn a lot in the medical field working as a patient observer. Management usually got staff's back when things come up. Hardest part of the job is staying awake for longer periods of time. The more you work longer hours, the more you get used to it

Good vacation and earned time. Great place to work if the you get the right mananger. Company is good. Just depends on actual location management expects you to cover all job positions instead of hiring new people.

Program Director in Burlington, MA

Culture understands remote work can be more productive. Each entity has a different holiday recognition, needs to be standardize, for example veterans at the BIDMC Hospital can observe veterans day without taking PTO. and recognizes certain holidays that others do not.
