It is very hard to advance by working hard alone; you must have contacts with the right people or be prepared to spend years and years in order to advance. There appears to be a disconnect between corporate and onsite teams.
Very political, similar to the Federal Government. It is not how good you are, your experience, dedication or your passion and commitment, it is who you know and how well you play the game.
Very clickish and volatile. Lots of backstabbing, two-faced people. Terrible place to work.
