Great starting job
Office Assistant (Former Employee) –  CaliforniaApril 4, 2018
Working for Big League Dreams is a great starting job, especially if you are a recent graduate or still in High School. Unfortunately, not many hours are offered, so it was not enough for me to cover my expenses.
Pros
Active and upbeat environment
Cons
Low pay, no benefits, short shifts

Working here is great for those who need part time employment. They have a customer first culture that strives to give park attendant the best all around experience possible.

Cashier (Former Employee) –  Mira Loma, CAFebruary 26, 2018
Most of the time the customers are drunk and rude, for things out of your control. The management doesn’t take well to requests off, and advancing could take 6+ years if you even are considered.

Food and Beverage Server (Former Employee) –  Manteca, CAFebruary 26, 2018
Working for this company was a good learning experience for me as it was my first job and it was the first chance I got to test my skills at being responsible and managing my time between school and work. all in all, it was a good choice for a starter job.

Cook/Cashier (Former Employee) –  Mansfield, TXJanuary 29, 2018
If you dont meet the criteria of a High school student i
I do not recommend it. No room for advancement and poor pay for anyone trying to live on their own and go to college.
Pros
Free meals, good enviroment
Cons
Dont take work seriously. And no room for moving up.

Field Crew (Former Employee) –  Mansfield, TXJanuary 17, 2018
Worst management ever. Sketchy place to work and don’t own up to their promises I was promised at least $10 an hour and remained at $8 which is one of the main reasons for my departure

Fun at the beginning but gets stressful when having to deal with the drunk customers
Cashier (Former Employee) –  League City, TXSeptember 9, 2017
The job is overall a good and calm relaxed place to work at during the beginning, as an the first couple of weeks at work then it gets abbot stressful because Big League Dreams has a bar as well as an arcade in the inside of both of their buildings and as being as cashier there's many things to deal with. Drunk customers randomly come up to you with various amounts of attitudes and leave their kids unattended which is very stressful. The payment could be a little higher because there are many more things that a cashier has to do than take a customers order.
Pros
Good breaks
Cons
No free lunch

Great job just could've been more organized
Maintenance (Former Employee) –  League City, TXAugust 30, 2017
The job was great I just felt like it could've been more then 3 people cleaning the park when it closes and also throughout the day when the park is open instead of some people being in the back they should be helping getting trash together so that you could finish the job earlier.
Pros
The Pay was great
Cons
Getting off at 5am

Not very well managed, poorly run. Often very dirty due to laziness. Relaxed tempo everyday. I often think that this working environment is not what it’s supposed to be. I’d like to work somewhere with a better environment

A great place to work
Sports Director (Former Employee) –  Manteca, CAJuly 31, 2017
BLD is not your typical place of employment. The sports department personnel don't start work until around 3PM and work until the park closes, usually after midnight. However, interacting with adult softball and soccer players can be rewarding and many times a fun experience. Many regular customers come to the park just to hang out and enjoy the "sports bar" atmosphere before, during and after their games. Work can be stressful at times when dealing with adult sports figures.

Easy Job
Everything (Current Employee) –  Manteca, CAJuly 28, 2017
mostly an easy job for some positions. There is little to no room for moving up in the company. New employees all the time, managers expect perfection from you with no compensation. No breaks even though they are required by law. Manteca BLD is not an acceptable place to work. They don't allow you to have water near you when working. You work very part time hours plus weekends and only night times. No one has recieved a raise in the past couple of years. The only good thing is you recieve free entry into the park and a couple player fees.
Pros
Free player fees and batting cages
Cons
Management, scheduling

Good first job
Employee (Current Employee) –  CaliforniaJuly 28, 2017
If this is your first job and it is during the summer time it is a great place to work with lots of hours, but if you work here at other times of the year they will only give you two to three days a week at a couple of hour shifts.
Pros
easy job, nice guests, good management, 50% of food
Cons
low hours, to many employies fighting for hours
