Rude management, bad pay, only did the schedule the day before it was due, harsh working conditions, no advancement, yelling and cussing from management, shoving rewards down customers throats and not getting anything for it but yelling if you didn’t,...etc. really could go on for a life time. Big Lots needs to change or just shut down.

I have a felony dui and no, they were not interested in me. Even after pulling in great fundraising for charities and great all around worker. Made me feel very unappreciated for all I have done for that company. No drug, theft, robbery, violent, or messed up charges. Just multiple dui.i couldn't believe them.

8.50 don't work there. Managers and especially store manager will not stick up for you. As my assistant store manager says " all you are is a warm body" If the managers don't like you, they will go on a witch hunt and do anything to get rid of you.

No, in some cases. If you have no interest in the cash register, you must let the manager know at the interview, and if they have stock only positions available then you do not have to run a register, but most people like to cross train to get more hours.

The new scheduling is nice you just punch in when and what days you can work. Generally speaking we work 4-6 hour shifts. If you do freight or truck you may have a longer day, but no more than 8 hours for a part time associate. Every week is different, you may have 15 hours one week and the next you could have 25. It varies depending on truck, freight, special events and your availability.
