Event Specialist (Former Employee) –  HoustonMay 4, 2018
They recently lowered the contract price....again. By the time you consider travel.....it's min wage when you work.......if you get it. The better paying gigs are given to their pets.....new hires get what no one wants. There are better event companies to work for.
Pros
none
Cons
very little work and pay is horrible

your lucky to get an event you apply for
Brand Ambassador (Current Employee) –  Birmingham, ALMarch 17, 2018
I have applied for numerous jobs and the only events I get are 6 hour events for $12 per hour. Typically 6 hour jobs and 4 hour events with a pay rate of $12 are the least paid jobs and hard to fill. Every event I apply for that pays $15 or higher are given to people Big Orange selects.
Pros
SOme events paywell
Cons
Big Orange pulls events from me, events that pay more than $12 per hour are only assigned to select demo reps, support services never respond, voicemail messages for Big Orange staff are never returned

Starts off good
Brand Ambassdor (Former Employee) –  Sunnyvale, CAAugust 5, 2017
Once hired you get to work alot, 3 days a week. Then it fades off to 3 days a month. Its a good job, very decent pay, good locations to work at, its a shame they dont just use a standard pool of people to book from. If your reading this Big Orange - if you book people on a regular basis, your employees would be much more loyal to you knowing they have steady work. Typical day is just doing a demo for whatever product is offered that day. Hardest part of job is trying to contact the HR staff. Its a decent job if you dont mind here and there work schedule. Nothing to count on $$ wise. They also lure you in with the promise of more money if you have experience. Everyone get $15 and hour no mattter what experience you have.
Pros
Decent pay
Cons
Nothing regular in terms of work schedule.

Avoid at all costs!
Brand Ambassador (Former Employee) –  Orange County, CAJuly 22, 2017
This company is horrible to deal with. Trying to book a job takes weeks to get an answer back. The booking agent was nasty, rude and unprofessional. If you try to call to ask a question forget it, they never help nor want you to call. They provide you with a cc to purchase products for your demos and the code never works, if you call for help or a question they are rude, nasty, unhelpful. Takes over a month to be paid. Very low pay, other companies pay a lot more when you are an independent contractor. Work for other companies and save yourself the grief!

Can't agree more! Worst company to deal with. To long to be paid. Unhelpful staffers and no communication.

I can agree to the above statement as it also happened to me! I would never recommend this company to anyone. Horrible

You can choose what events you want to work (hours/days) and how often. Pay is always prompt as long as you complete your paperwork. Agents are good about communications as well. Job opportunities are at times minimal in some areas (western Ma.) but still many around.
Pros
Paid travel in some cases
Cons
Short breaks depending on event
