The most useful review selected by IndeedMay have to travel, support and sale. Meaningful upward movement and direction is lacking in some areas. Management may show favoritism and the company is profit driven. Great stepping stone.
Pros
Diversity in duties

Quota Nightmares
Territory Manager (Former Employee) - San Francisco, CA - March 21, 2022
If you have one good year, prepare for them to raise your quota to something out of reach the next. The culture is really good here. The management needs to take care of their employees better

not much room for advancement
Acount Manager (Former Employee) - Lake Oswego, OR - April 30, 2021
Not much room for advancement with management. Long hours and work is demanded before you go home. Not much socializing. Bad lunch area. Hard to get the items needed to get your work done.

Truly care about the patient- The products are incredible
Clinical Specialist, Vascular and Coronary Intervention (Current Employee) - Portland, OR - February 20, 2020
I am not just drinking the Kool-Aid, the products are pioneering a new future. This company is not share holder owned, they do not have lobbyists like the “big box” companies. The patient outcome is what they strive for. But recently in 2020, with a new VP in sales, it has gotten pushy and we don’t want to lose integrity with our customers doing uncomfortable things “just to make a sale”. Sales quotas have been unattainable and compensation plans have been taken away. Emails with life changing information such as a change in compensation plan sent have been marked as “signed” in agreeance as soon as they are simply opened. The CRM side of the business gets favored and compensated much better, while the VI side has a lot more cold calling work and gets compensated less.
Cons
High sales quotas

Small Company with a good culture
Senior Sales Rep, EP Specialist/Senior Field Clinical Rep, Mentor (Former Employee) - Miami, FL - January 12, 2020
Small company with a good culture and good incentives. Downside is since they are a small company they face strong contract competition.
They are a German company with a strong work ethic.

Fast paced compilation of numbers thru various softwares, but primarily SAP. Publishing numerous month-end reports reflecting the month's transaction. Finance staff professional and team builders.

small playerTrying to make it
Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (Former Employee) - Oregon - September 20, 2019
The technology that this company provides is outstanding, its too bad that the industry does not feel this way. If the competition spent as much on technology as they do on marketing they still wouldnt add up

Very poor management. Total disregard for hard work and loyalty. No transparency from top to bottom. Privately held company that has zero regard for employees.

Jobs at BIOTRONIK
Loved working here
CRA (Former Employee) - Lake Oswego, OR - March 20, 2019
I wake up every morning pumped to walk into work. The culture is unlike any company I've come to work for or interviewed for. . Upper management will help you focus on your next career steps, in setting up mentorships and having one-on-ones to meet your goals. Since I've started as an OSR (only about

The experience at Biotronik was pleasant
Executive Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) - Lake Oswego, OR - January 12, 2019
At Biotronik I got to work with a lot of people from all over the Portland area. These people brought with them a wealth of knowledge that they were willing to share. I enjoy learning from others.

Don't recommend working there
If you consider a job at BIOTRONIK, ask how long the person's job you're taking stayed there. Super high turnover. Very unhappy workers and bad morale.

Terrific Products
Pacing Sales Rep (Former Employee) - Nashville, TN - October 29, 2018
Great product portfolio. Challenging brand name within the U.S. Company's inclusion on the largest national contracts means little since many customers won't try the new products. This is due to the organization's lack of long-term committment, adherence and persistence to marketing strategies.
Pros
Freedom, Earnings Opportunity
Cons
Tarnished Brand Name

Horrible management
Data Center Administrator, Kelly Services (Former Employee) - Portland, OR - March 23, 2018
I experienced the worst manager of my entire career there. His main objective was to prove contract workers were incompetent. Never had a positive word and was constantly criticizing. I hated everyday I worked there.
Pros
Gained some skills.
Cons
Management. Culture. Support. Trust. Communication. Everything. Hated working there.

work under no stress
Field Clinical Specialist (Current Employee) - Oregon - January 15, 2018
Its a quick-paced work where you are always moving, helping the sales rep with cases, visiting doctors and doing clinics. The management is always aware of you and worried about you.

Not a bad place to work
Medical Device Sales Representative (Former Employee) - San Antonio, TX - January 2, 2018
You have to work four times as hard as you did to make the same money you did 15 years ago. ASP's have been significantly lowered and the price of products has been lowered.
Pros
Car allowance
Cons
Long hours.
