Good employer for those who are willing to be accountable.

I have been working with Bish Enterprises for around a year now and I can say I have been happy working with them. I work remotely for an agreed upon number of hours and I can complete those hours whenever is convenient for me. I may be asked to join conference calls/meetings at certain times, but other than that it's very flexible. Since I work as an independent contractor, I do not receive benefits, so I cannot comment on that aspect of the job, but I am fairly compensated. As an independent contractor, sometimes it feels like a fight to get paid, but I am always paid in a timely manner with Bish Enterprises. As for the work environment, I'm sure there are things I cannot comment on since I'm not physically in the office, but generally speaking, it seems like so long as you are willing to track your projects, participate when asked, and be accountable for your work, then you'll be ok.

Pros

Flexible

Cons

Lacking software integrations

Very stressful and not rewarded for what you do

Not a good place to work. Management is constantly fighting among each other. They have went through tons of employees over the past several years. Training program is one of the worst I have seen. Then they turn you loose on the phone when you have no idea what you are even doing. If you make a mistake management is constantly on your case but never tells you how to correct your mistake. They always figure a way to deduct money from your commissions also.

Pros

None

Cons

Will make you stressed to the hilt

ALWAYS busy, never a boring workspace.

A stark contrast to Fortune 500 companies I've worked for, this company has very little inertia, allowing them to pivot quickly to meet changing marketplace. New products are being engineered, prototyped and developed in house constantly. I was hired into sales, but was afforded the opportunity to learn drafting and fabrication department skills, including CAD, something I always wanted to learn. I've been in small box retail management for 12 years, operations management for 10 years and sales in general since the 1990's. This place is more demanding in certain ways, but more fulfilling: you're not just some faceless cog on the corporate wheel.

Pros

Frequent activities outside of office space. Taught me new skills sets.

Cons

Long work days/work week.

Rewarding place to work at.

Always learning something new which makes it very rewarding to work here. Getting to travel and meet new people is always fun and interesting. Bish Enterprises and Hemp Harvest Works works to help farmers all over the country accomplish their goals.

Productive and fun work place

Working here has been a great experience. I have learned a lot about the industries that I thought I was familiar with but turned out I did not much about. The culture around the office is a very connected culture. We are all valued for the different skills we bring to the team. We are all willing and able to help each other out to help the team achieve its ultimate goals. The most enjoyable part of the job is simply the people you will meet. The coworkers, colleagues, and business partners in this industry are some of the greatest people you will meet in the world.

Horrible

Owners fight with each other all the time. You never know who you're actually supposed to listen to because they're never on the same page. They offer very poor benefits and pay. They also like to tell you on Friday afternoon that they need you to work on Saturday and if you don't work Saturday, you'll hear all about it come Monday.

Good Work Environment

I enjoyed my overall experience. Like many jobs, there are ups and downs, but overall I was able to participate in many interesting projects. Working here provided me with quite a variety of things to do, there were very few times where I did the same thing three days in a row.

Pros

Interesting and unique projects

Cons

Requires a lot of learning to understand all of the different aspects of the business

Avoid at all costs!

Well to start off this company will wait until last minute to get you the proper materials needed for your project then expect you to complete it within a couple of hours. Projects that should take 40 hours they assume you can do in 4-5 hours. The owners fight constantly and will be having you do multiple tasks outside of your job description. NOT flexible at all. They try to find a way to deduct pay from your paychecks all the time! They also have favorites between the employees. If you are looking to apply for a job here I suggest you choose another employer who will value you and not treat you like you are a robot. I have also witnessed the owners scream and cuss at employees and have also seen an owner strike an employee.

Pros

None

Cons

Very rude management, they favorite employees, not flexible

Growing pains

To say this company has growing pains would be a drastic understatement. The great part is that there are some really great people there. The worst part is that management has no real understanding for the company culture due to an inner circle that is constantly arguing and maintains an air of secrecy that is vailed by "transparency". There is a bit of disturbing nepotism.

It was a good working environment.

It was interesting and challenging at times. I learned many new ways to make things and learned how to apply myself to projects that required time and dedication.
