Software Developer (Current Employee) –  Tampa, FLJune 18, 2018
They have been downsizing every year for over 3 years now. I have seen hundreds of employees let go "terminated". New development is hindered by run and manage because so many other developers left. I give this company 2-3 years before they are just a marketing company. Co-workers are great but like every company that is going down they are scare and disgruntled.
Pros
free soda
Cons
very clicky management, layoffs every year

All you mean to this company is dials. Employees are 100% replaceable to upper management. Lower management favors the kiss-a**es, and micromanages everyone else to death.

Supervisor of Transcription (Former Employee) –  Workng from home.May 16, 2018
A typical day started off with receiving requests for new assignments and then allocating the work to my team members in my department. Learned how to create transcripts for different professors, some with challenging accents, to be incorporated into creation of online courses.

My manager was the best. Wish I had more like her. My manager always supported me and was always there for me including with dealing with difficult members of the team. The workplace culture was challenging due to the time constraints in creating these courses. My team, under my direction, always exceeded expectations, met deadlines on time or before. The most enjoyable part was working with my team and some of the most wonderful co-workers.
Pros
Wonderful manager and coworkers.
Cons
Time constraints.

Sales! Sales! Sales!
Enrollment Representative (Former Employee) –  FloridaMay 15, 2018
The systems that the students use to do their online work is very antiquated. The classes are overpriced and the inquiries (leads) suck. Management is very poor and always changing. They sit in your face and tell you lies. If you are productive you are good. Now, it is a sales role and you are required to produce. However, again the leads and lack there of make it almost impossible to reach your monthly quota. Communication and transparency are very poor.
Pros
Free Education; PTO
Cons
Poor management, overpriced programs, and limited job security.

I liked the job a lot. The culture is upscale and the environment was incredible fast paced as well as competitive. You will learn about the education system in great detail. As long as you stay to yourself, you will be fine.

The people who work at Bisk is really who makes working there worth it. Its the culture. Being able to walk down the halls and being able to greet everyone wit a smile and mean it is always a plus for a company.

Enrollment Specialist (Current Employee) –  Tampa, FLApril 11, 2018
It's a sales job at the end of the day. They tell you one thing in training. All of the managers quit within a year or 2 because upper management treats them like children. Unless you're there pet cat as soon as production slips, you're done. Management changes the rules and metrics often. You're not set up to win

Awesome education incentives for employees. Very sales focused. If you are dedicated to a sales environment this will be a good fit for you. Fluctuates in reference to month to month success. Work is very redundant.

Enrollment Specialist (Former Employee) –  Tampa, FLFebruary 24, 2018
The training pipeline is ok, but the instructors get off track a lot. As an instructor or facilitator, you should not try and teach for 2-3 hours without a break. The pay is horrible. People with Masters degrees and 20+ years experience are start out making the same or less than someone with and AA or fresh out of college. The company doesn’t try to capitolize on someone’s experience or leadership ability. They only want you for one thing. To make phone calls. The managers aren’t equipt to handle stressful situations.
Pros
Free Education.
Cons
Pay, Managers aren’t leaders

Enrollment Advisor (Former Employee) –  Tampa, FLNovember 7, 2017
Not much opportunity to grow career wise. If a supervisor or director does not like you, you'll be stuck in the same role for a long time. It is a lot of work for very little pay.

Great Company managed by some poor leaders. A lot of good people left because of this. There were also a lot of people that sought to advance through lies and manipulation of the system

Going through changes
Business Data Analyst (Current Employee) –  Tampa, FLSeptember 30, 2017
Over the past year or so, Bisk has been going through a cultural change and several management changes. Some good, some bad as you would expect. Communication from the top down (not executive, but middle management) is an issue that continues to plague the firm.
