Customer Service Representative II in Rapid City, SD

The company had an excellent training program for our group. We had a lot of time to get to know each other . Unfortunately some of the best people are no longer there . Some got terminated with no explanation (managers) and were replaced with people that had no business being managers (ie IT ) Seemed to have a high rate of turnover but I think the company is still a good place .

Really enjoyed the culture, pay and mission here. Nicest people you ever met as well. Plenty of growth opportunities for those that want them and they are very focused on the employee experience.

I thought this was a career that I would retire in, turns out leaving BHE was the best thing Ive ever done for myself. Management is clueless, no experience with working with natural gas distribution. They protect their worst employees, and run off the ones that actually contribute to a good work environment, The pay is so/so, but upper management has no idea what the field employees do, they just are about the bottom dollar, they preach safety safety safety, but thats just to keep their insurance costs down, the do not care about anyone in the field actually making the money for the company. Advancement is non existent if you are good at your current job.

Great company with great benefits. Room to grow within the company if your willing to dedicate a lot of time to the company. They are numbers driven in the call center.

If spending time with your family is important then this is the wrong place to work. During my Interview I was told they were family oriented, family comes first, very flexible, etc. however, since starting there, they are not flexible with time and even asked me to find a babysitter to watch my sick child and denied time off when my children did not have school. Management micro manages to the extreme and training is terrible. There were no written procedures and people get annoyed to train so they just do it for you and expect you to do it without help the next time. After 2 months I was expected to know everything.
